Seminarian installed into ministry of acolyte

On Friday, November 1, 2002, All Saints Day, Diocese of New Ulm seminarian Keith Salisbury and twelve other members of the Blessed John XXIII National Seminary community in Weston, Massachusetts received the Order of Acolyte.

This ancient rite marks a milestone on their journey to priesthood. In receiving the Order of Acolyte these seminarians are now able to serve at the altar during liturgies and other worship services. The Most Reverend Daniel Reilly, D.D., Bishop of Worcester, Massachusetts officiated at the Mass and the Acolyte ceremony.

Keith is currently in Theology 1 at Blessed John XXIII National Seminary. His home parish is St. Michael, Gaylord, MN.
