Diocesan Distinguished Service Award recipients announced
Recognition to be made at Bishop Lucker Lecture in March
Registrations continue to be taken for the 1st Annual Bishop Lucker Lecture featuring Bishop Robert F. Morneau, speaking on Salt, Leaven and Light: A Vatican II Spirituality. Due to limited seating, please send in your "advance registration form" (available from the Catholic Pastoral Center, (507) 359-2966) with $5 payment to: Bishop Lucker Lecture, Diocese of New Ulm, 1400 6th Street North, New Ulm, MN 56073. Please indicate if you would like bus transportation ($5 per person) and also include payment. There will be one bus leaving from New Ulm, and another from Willmar.
Distinguished Service Award recipients selected
Following Bishop Morneaus presentation, the Most Reverend John C. Nienstedt will present the Diocesan Distinguished Service Award to five New Ulm diocesan leaders. These recipients were chose by Bishop Nienstedt from a list of finalists selected by a committee of the Priests Council and the Diocesan Pastoral Council.
Diocesan Distinguished Service Award recipients to be honored March 20th are:
Herb Brunner, a member of Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, New Ulm.
Lila Schmidt, a member of St. Eloi Parish, Ghent.
Sr. Kathryn Schoolmeesters, SSND, Pastoral Administrator of St. John Parish, Hector.
Maria and Steve Zenk of Danube, MN and members of St. Mary Parish, Willmar.
