Dear Parents of Students in our Catholic Schools,

I join you and your school community in the celebration of Catholic Schools Week. Together, with schools across the nation, we affirm the fact that Catholic schools do Make a World of Difference. I have had the opportunity to meet many of your children during my visits to your school this past year. These have been enjoyable encounters for me.

I thank you for entrusting your child’s education and formation to our teachers and administrators. They are a very committed group of people who, with you, can make a difference in the life of your child and in our world. The sacrifice you make to give them this opportunity is commendable. I encourage you to invite other families to avail themselves of this benefit in your parish.

As parents, I thank you and the many other volunteers and parishioners who give time, talent, and treasure to our schools. Please continue to support our Catholic schools in whatever way possible.

Again, I ask you to continue to pray and sacrifice for vocations to the various ministries in our diocese - especially to priesthood and religious life.

With every good wish, I am

Cordially yours in Christ,

The Most Reverend John C. Nienstedt

Bishop of New Ulm
