CCW - making a difference
by Lila Schmidt
All that the New Ulm Council of Catholic Women has to offer through its many programs can be overwhelming. Remember the story about all the sand on a beach where one grain appears insignificant? Each grain is important in making up the beach and without it we are reminded that the beach would be one grain less.
In parishes and in the Prairie Catholic weve heard about the awesome trip some of our youth made to the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC). We can be proud to be able to say that NUDCCW helped make it possible though our Scholarship Program. NUDCCW helped make it possible for people to attend the "March for Life" at the Capitol in January.
A few kids attended NCYC, a few Pro-Life people prayed at the Capitol. Some sand on the beach. In looking closer I think there is potential here for pebbles and maybe even boulders.
Every little bit counts.
