CCW scholarships offered

by Mary Arnoldi

Is there a class or study course you would like to take to further your professional or parish ministry position? If so, then apply for a Council of Catholic Women scholarship and make it happen! These scholarships can be used in so many ways. Scholarships were granted at the Annual CCW Convention last April for workshops and seminars pertaining to: women and their health; creating classroom learning tools; intermediate computer classes; world religion class; "joy of singing" workshop; a phy-ed workshop "Devotion to Motion"; practical nursing; teaching methods for learning disabled; music in the small parish; organ/piano lessons; home health care; story-telling techniques; catechesis of the Good Shepherd; the 10 commandments at school and in the parish; the National CCW Convention, and for chaperones attending the National Catholic Youth Conference.

It is easy to apply for a CCW scholarship. Attend your local CCW meeting to obtain the scholarship application, fill it out (it’s easy-no essay questions), have it signed by your pastor or CCW president, and submit it by March 15. Be sure to list your parish ministry. Men are eligible too. Mail your application to: Mary Arnoldi, NUDCCW Scholarship Coordinator, PO Box 202, Lamberton, MN 56152. (507) 752-7657.

Mary Arnoldi is from Lamberton, MN, and is the New Ulm Diocesan Council of Catholic Women Scholarship Coordinator.
