Lucan parish promotes pro-life!

Lucan, MN - In order to cultivate respect for the unborn child, and to hopefully make a difference in someone’s life, Our Lady of Victory Parish has erected two ProLife signs on the property of Laurie and Terry Ourada. This young couple worked with  Redwood County, MnDot, and the Granite Rock Township Board to get the variances needed to put these signs on their property by obtaining the footage and requirements needed to erect the signs along MN Hwy 68 West.

Our Lady of Victory Parish celebrated ProLife Sunday on October 17 by having a prayer service with Mass, followed by a rally at the sign.

The Our Lady Council of Catholic Women is involved in many pro-life activities. Ann Rohlik, spokesperson for the Respect Life group at Our Lady of Victory Church, says CCW promotes the dignity of women and children, along with the awareness of pornography. Believing that all life is a gift from God,  The Reverence for Life Commission has an aim of recognizing and protecting all life from conception to natural death, according to Rohlik. Through this committee, we are encouraged to pray that all people will hold life as a precious gift from God.

The church felt it was important to have the signs placed where they would be seen and would hopefully make a difference in a baby’s future. The ads on the billboard may be the only visible sign of hope and help to those in need.
