Bishop approves another Area Faith Community Plan

As part of the implementation of the Diocesan Plan for Parishes, Bishop John C. Nienstedt is pleased to announce the approval of the Area Faith Community plan from parishes in Appleton, Dawson, and Madison.

Region 4:

Church of St. John, Appleton; Church of St. James, Dawson; and Church of St. Michael, Madison

Word

- Form an Area Education Committee

- Collaborate on youth activities

- Coordinate an area religious education curriculum

- Develop area adult faith formation

Worship

- Create weekend/holyday Mass schedule

- Establish an Area Worship Committee

- Collaborate on liturgical ministry training

- Plan an area mission (including the prison)

Service

- Establish an Area Social Concerns Committee

- Explore the coordination of the various service organizations in each parish

- Create social events to bring area parishes together

Stewardship

- Develop and establish an Area Pastoral Council

- Accept all offertory envelopes and return them to the respective parish

- Combine purchasing power of Area Faith Community whenever possible

- Support each parish in fundraising opportunities and identification of resources
