Fr. Meidl to lead pilgrimage to Lourdes
A 16 day French and Italian Adventure, hosted by Father Jerry Meidl, pastor of Holy Redeemer parish, Marshall, MN, will depart June 6-21, 2002, from the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport. This adventure will include seeing the sights of Paris including a Mass at the Notre Dame Cathedral, and a tour of the Chartres Cathedral and the Versailles palace. There will be a tour of Lourdes, including a visit to the home of St. Bernadette Soubirous, the 14-year-old who in 1858 claimed that the Virgin Mary visited her, a visit to the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, the Grotto and the prison where Bernadettes family was forced to stay for a number of months. The tour will also visit sights in Aix-En-Provience, La Spezia, Montecatini, and Rome which will include a tour of the site of the Shrine of St. Francis, Santa Chiara Church, San Francesco Basilica, and the Vatican Museums.
