Elizabeth Mohr of Springfield elected Province Director for the NCCW
Elizabeth Mohr was installed as Province Director of St. Paul/Minneapolis at a recent convention of the National Council of Catholic Women (NCCW) in Nashville, TN.
Mohr represents Region 8 NCCW, and eight dioceses in the states of Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
As Province Director, Mohr, who is a member of St. Raphael parish, Springfield and the diocese of New Ulm, is liaison between the local diocese and the national organization and responsible for promoting programs and creating an awareness for special concerns and issues.
Mohr, wife of retired doctor of veterinary medicine, Hilary Mohr, is the mother of six children, and grandmother of nine. She has been an active member of the local CCW for four decades, has served in various offices including president, and on the commissions for Family Affairs, and Organization of Service in the local parish, region and diocese.
She served as CCW diocesan president from 1988-1990. Also involved in her community, Mohr is a member of Circa Studi, a charter member of the Springfield Area Historical Society, has served a number of years as 4-H Leader, was a Committee Facilitator on the University of Minnesota Extension Service, and has served on the public health and mental health committees for Brown County.
Mohr will serve two years as Province Director.
