Pope Benedicat XVI will make his first visit as the spiritual leader of the Catholic Church to the United States this month. The six-day trip will begin in Washington, D.C., and continue to New York City. The trip is historic, especially since the Holy Father will address the United Nations General Assembly, meet with President George Bush, and visit Ground Zero.

In Celebration of the Diocese of New Ulm's 50th anniversary, Area Faith Community Missions are being held from January-April in parish communities throughout the diocese.

Catholic Schools Week will be3 celebrated in Catholic schools around the diocese the week of January 27 - February 2. This year's theme, Catholic Schools Light the Way, combines the concepts of God as the light of the world and the light of knowledge that our schools kindle in students.
