New
Ulm Cathedral student honored by National Merit Scholarship Program
Heidi Eckstein, a senior at Cathedral High
School in
New Ulm, has been named a National Merit Semifinalist by the National Merit
Scholarship Program. She is the daughter of Joe and Mary Eckstein of New Ulm,
and a member of St. Mary’s Parish in New Ulm.
Less than 1% of each state's
high school seniors qualify as semifinalists. Only 350 students from Minnesota representing only 25% of the high schools in the
state have been named National Merit Semifinalists. There are 16,000
semifinalists nationwide. Results like this are a direct result of the
outstanding effort put forth by our students and the academic excellence that
is striven for at the New Ulm Area Catholic Schools.

School

Scholarship Program.
