Twelve discern religious vocation at Operation Miryam dinner

 

Bird Island - On February 24, the New Ulm Diocesan Vocation Office sponsored the first Operation Miryam dinner at St. Mary’s in Bird Island.  Twelve young women joined Bishop John C. Nienstedt, and Vocation Team members, Fr. Todd Petersen and Sr. Margaret McHugh as well as eleven women religious for an evening of prayer and sharing.

 

After dinner and evening prayer, Fr. Petersen spoke on what discernment means followed by Sr. Mary Danielle Johnson, RSM; Sr. Gladys Meindl, OSF; Sr. Judi Angst, OSF; and Sr. Vivian Petersen, OSB who shared their personal vocation story. 

The young women were invited to reflect on how God might be calling them.
