Pastoral Leader Days

New Ulm diocesan pastoral leaders gathered in Willmar, MN on Tuesday, March 1 and Wednesday, March 2, 2004 for the annual Spring Pastoral Leader Days to consider church documents and examples of parish evangelization.

Cultivating the Word was presented by Fr. Robert (Bob) Rivers, CSP from the Paulist National Catholic Evangelization Association, Washington, DC and Sr. Maureen Shaughnessy, SC former Secretary of Catechesis for the United States Catholic Conference of Bishops.

Tuesday afternoon, Deacon Leonard L. Fuller, from the Diocese of Winona, presented on Stewardship: A Fuller Sense of Gratitude and on the Essential Elements of a Successful Diocesan Appeal.

Also, Tuesday evening and all day Wednesday Parish/Area Faith Community Education Committees, catechists, adult faith formation, directors of religious education, youth ministers, and other parish staff joined Fr. Rivers and Sr. Maureen for an in-depth presentation and discussion of evangelization and catechesis.
