Spring Pastoral Leader Days in the New Ulm Diocese
Fr. Peter Rocca, CSC, a Holy Cross priest, spoke to Pastoral Leaders of the New Ulm Diocese during the Spring Pastoral Leader Days on March 10 and 11, at the Holiday Inn, Willmar, MN. His presentation was entitled The General Instruction of the Roman Missal: A Hands-on View. Whats New? Whats Old? Whats Central to Our Life of Worship? Fr. Rocca also gave a similar presentation to 100 of those responsible for various ministries in our parishes on Tuesday evening, March 11, at St. Aloysius Parish in Olivia.
On March 12, the last day of the Pastoral Leader Days, Wayne Larson gave a pastoral perspective presentation on the end-of-life issues of living wills and durable power of attorney. Wayne, resides in Willmar where he practices law and is a member of St. Marys parish in Willmar.
Pastoral Leader Days concluded with a presentation by Robert Barry and James Mullin from the Catholic Community Foundation in St. Paul, who together gave a presentation entitled The ABC's of Planned Giving: What a Pastoral Leader Needs to Know. This presentation was designed to give Pastoral Leaders practical help in assisting their parishioners who may wish to leave a legacy to their parishes or to the Diocese.
