Deacon Paul D. Timmerman
to be ordained to the priesthood for the Catholic Diocese of New Ulm
New
Ulm , MN – Rev.
Mr. Paul D. Timmerman will be ordained to the Holy Order of Priesthood
for the Catholic Diocese of New Ulm on Saturday, May 26, 2007 , at 10:30
a.m. at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, New Ulm, by the Most Reverend
John C. Nienstedt, Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of New Ulm.
Deacon
Timmerman, age 27, is the son of Dennis and Shirley Timmerman of Boyd
, MN .
His home parish is the Church
of St. Leo in St.
Leo , MN .
Deacon Timmerman attended Minneota High
School in Minneota ,
MN , graduating in 1998,
and attended the University
of St. Thomas receiving
a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Catholic Studies in May of 2002.
He
was ordained to the Diaconate on February 11,
2006 , at the Church
of St. Leo , St.
Leo , MN ,
by Bishop John
C. Nienstedt. From September 2005-2006, he interned
at the Church of St.
Mary in New Ulm.
Since
September of 2002, he has attended the Pontifical College Josephinum
where he received a Master of Divinity degree at the seminary’s 108
th Baccalaureate Mass and Commencement Exercises on May
12, 2007 .
All the faithful
of the diocese are invited to come celebrate. A reception will follow
the Mass.
Following
his ordination to the priesthood, Deacon Timmerman will offer a Mass
of Thanksgiving on May 27, 2007 ,
at 2:00 p.m. at the Church
of St. Leo
in St. Leo , MN
