Ecumenical prayer service to include signing of

Catholic-Lutheran Covenant

Sleepy Eye, MN – On Sunday, May 3, 2009, Bishop John LeVoir, Catholic Diocese of New Ulm, and Bishop Jon Anderson, Southwestern Minnesota Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), will be signing a Pastoral Covenant which will not only cite areas of common belief and a pledge to work toward greater unity, but also focus on evangelization and helping the faithful grow in their faith lives.

The Pastoral Covenant will be signed during a 4:00 p.m. prayer service at the Church of St. Mary in Sleepy Eye. All are invited to this ecumenical event.
