New Ulm Catholic Diocese Official Appointments

New Ulm – Bishop Raymond A. Lucker of the Catholic Diocese of New Ulm has announced the following official appointments:

Pastors

Effective June 16, 1999

Rev. Patrick L. Casey to serve as Pastor of the Church of St. Anastasia in Hutchinson, MN, and as Sacramental Minister of the Church of St. Boniface in Stewart, MN.

Rev. James W. Devorak to serve as Senior Associate Pastor of the Church of St. Anastasia in Hutchinson, MN, and as Sacramental Minister of the Church of St. Boniface in Stewart, MN.

Rev. Felix J. Fasching to retire from active ministry. He currently serves as Pastor of the Church of Our Lady of the Lakes, Spicer, MN, and the Church of St. Anthony, Regal, MN.

Rev. Frederick T. Fink to serve as Pastor of the Church of Our Lady of the Lakes in Spicer, MN, and the Church of St. Anthony in Regal, MN.

Rev. Douglas L. Grams to serve as Pastor of the Church of St. Mary in New Ulm, MN.

Rev. Brian W. Oestreich to serve as Pastor of the Church of St. Mary in Tracy, MN, and the Church of St. Paul in Walnut Grove, MN, while continuing one quarter time as Director of Vocations.

Rev. Todd J. Petersen to serve as Associate Pastor of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm, MN.

Rev. Paul A. Schumacher to serve as Pastor of the Church of St. John in Darwin, MN, and Sacramental Minister of the Church of St. Gertrude in Forest City, MN.

Effective July 1, 1999

Rev. Merle W. Monnens to serve as Pastor of the Church of St. Michael in Milroy, MN, in addition to serving as Pastor of the Church of Our Lady of Victory in Lucan, MN.

Rev. Bernard J. Steiner to serve as Pastor of the Church of St. John-Assumption in Faxon Township, in addition to serving as Pastor of the Church of St. Brendan in Green Isle, MN.

Pastoral Administrators

Effective July 1, 1999

Sister Marian Kemper, OSB, to serve as Pastoral Administrator of the Church of St. Joseph in Lamberton, MN.

Sister Jeanette Homan, OSF, to return as full-time Pastoral Administrator of the Church of St. Thomas in Sanborn, MN.
